Arrival to Stockholm

Train

Arrival by train will take you to Stockholm Central Station. From here, you can easily access public transport - please see "getting around" for further information. The venue is on a direct subway line from the station, three stops away; approximately 10 minutes, plus walking.

Flight

Arlanda

At arrival to Arlanda there are four ways to reach Stockholm; Taxi, Airport Bus, the Arlanda Express train and the Commuter Train. Prices are set for Airport Coaches and the train, but most taxi companies also have a set price for first stop within Stockholm City, after which standard taxi fee is charged. If going to the same place, it tends to become cheaper to take a cab if you are three or more.

Arlanda Express: From Arlanda Airport there is a direct train connection to the Stockholm Central Station, the Arlanda Express Train. The journey takes about 20 minutes and costs SEK 260 one-way (return SEK 490). The train leaves every 15 minutes from Arlanda Airport, and is specially designed with extra space for luggage. Please visit www.arlandaexpress.com for further information.

Airport Coaches: Airport coaches leave Arlanda airport (Stockholm's international airport) every 5-10 minutes for the City Terminal in central Stockholm. The bus ride takes approximately 35 minutes and costs SEK 99 (one-way ticket), a return ticket is SEK 198. Please visit www.flygbussarna.se for further information.

Commuter Train: The Commuter train is newly opened at Arlanda and takes about as long as the buses. It is included in SL travel pass but you pay a ca 70SEK “platform fee”. Commuter trains can be crowded depending on time, and if there is lots of snow there can be delays.

Taxi: Make sure to check the price policy before you get into the cab. Most Taxi’s have this, but Taxi Stockholm, Taxi Kurir or Taxi 020 are dependable. All these tend to have taxi's waiting at the Taxi Spot at Arlanda.

Bromma, Skavsta, Västerås

If you arrive to Stockholm Bromma there are Airport Coaches (SEK 79/150) or Taxis, using the same taxi services as recommended above. For Skavsta ("Stockholm South"), or Västerås we recommend the Airport Coaches (SEK 129/248). Taxi from Skavsta or Västerås is likely to be expensive.

While often having additional stops, the airport coaches will take you to Stockholm City Terminal, next to the central station for subways and commuter trains.
